My Approach to Therapy:
I see therapy as a helpful place to vent, focus on your experiences and how they shape you, work through thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you, and make the changes necessary to explore and embrace your authentic self in order to be the person you strive to embody. I utilize a holistic, decolonization, feminist, social justice, and intersectional lens. I often use Internal Family Systems, Narrative, Acceptance and Commitment, and Attachment based techniques and perspectives. I am passionate about creating a safe, judgment-free, and nurturing space with respect to your identity and values. I believe in creating authentic connections with clients and have a passion for working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and/or those who have experienced struggles related to cultural identity, multiculturalism, trauma, family conflict, queer identity, interpersonal challenges, grief, race-based stress, micro-aggressions, and life transitions. Together we will increase your awareness and address present day patterns that are rooted in past experiences. If you feel your journey has involved encounters with these experiences, we may be a great fit.
