About the Event
With current demands for therapy currently outpacing the supply, it is encouraging to see more individuals of color look to therapy. However, we are seeing a trend in therapists opting-out of insurance panels and only offering self-pay or sliding scales, which is quickly becoming a health equity issue.
In this workshop, we will demonstrate strategies that therapists of color can use to ensure the financial viability of their businesses through insurance payments. We will identify strategies for credentialing and highlight ethical issues that can come up during the billing process.
